On a more serious note, weren't 2.0turbo S's exported to Italy or am I thinking of something else?
Think they were sleeved-down supercharged versions.

never quite understood it as to whether its insurance based or taxed base but hence the creation of the 6 geared punto 1.1 and the nutty cagiva and aprilia 125cc bikes that can do 115 mph!
Hmmm - sweeping generalisation follows. Driving in Italy a couple of years back I was really surprised to discover that the country of Ferrari and other flash cars had such ropey infrastructure road wise. Sure ours is by no means great - but Italian roads couple with the suspension of an S sounds like a sure route to a compacted spine. Lots of uneven surfaces, pot holes - even the motorways weren't great.
Lovely country though !
