In between the rain today I came up with this little idea.....

The fuse/relay holder is a modular thing so it can be clicked apart (may be a bit of glue in places) and re-assembled as a rectangle.
Diagrams in SH book show 3 relays on S2 and 5 on S3 onwards, mines got 4.

Plan is to use something like this to make a waterproof housing around it.

"White" dots are blemishes in paint and various holes that have filled, panel will later be sprayed satin black

Just got to find a new location for the build plate now smile

as a little aside on another Forum someone tested a range of "cheap" blade fuses they'd bought, regardless of colour or rating written on them they all took over 30amps to blow yikes

Looks good, but is there anything on your TVR which will be in its' original position? Looking forward to you mounting the V6 transversely on the parcel shelf.....

Cheers

Tony, have you seen where he's put his parcel shelf? He'll never fit the engine in there now wink

I take it the sockets are surface amounted and that you didn't cut an oblong hole in the panel, or did you? I ask as I can see what looks like two rivet heads which suggested that the lip of the fuse panel is underneath the bodywork.

Any further details?

I think it is a great mod and would like to do the same.

Oh yes I did !

and yes the rivets are holding some little L section brackets attached to the fuse box. Hopefully that clear lid enclosure will arrive today or tomorrow and I can get it finished (that's if it fits and if the rain ever stops).

Should have taken photo's along the way but kinda get engrossed in these things and forget the camera.
