Hi,

I tried to use the Startester I have borrowed to resolve the emissions issue (see separate post) and I encountered a problem with the checks. The tester states that the octane adjust ground needs to be disconnected. I assume there is a connector that needs to be unplugged to do this. Please could someone let me know which one - otherwise it will be a case of snipping wires.

Thanks,

Ralph.

I will send you a wiring diagram which at least will show the colours

In true TVR style the wiring diagram showed the earth (black wire) coming off a blue/yellow wire on the octane adjust...on my car it came off a red/brown wire! Snipped the black wire and Startester worked fine. Have fitted a quick connector in the earth wire so I can disconnect easier next time.

No fault codes came up on any of the three tests but the static 'wiggle test' did show that one of the connectors to the AFMs would cause a fault when wiggled. Unplugging it and plugging it back in made it robust to more vigorous wiggling.

Thanks again for your help with this Norman.

Ralph.
