Lot of air between wheels and arches?

Low profiles or shocks wound up a tad high?

Looks a bit pricey to me, and the wheels look wrong IMHO

The one on sale for 12,500 looks miles better IMO and worth the extra.

I owned that car for about three years, sold it in 2003 or may have been early 2004 with 25K on it. The wheels are original from the factory and were an option.

The factory still existed when I got it and they confirmed the spec. It was absolutely mint when I bought it and not far off when I sold it. The previous owner had spent a lot of money having it repainted after an "incident" of some sort and the entire car was literally like new. All the paperwork for the paint job along with all the money I spent was with it, I wonder if it still is All the chassis paint was still on and in good condition. The engine bay looks rather tatty compared to when I sold it.

Just looked back at some pictures and the wheel arch gap looks the same, probably seems odd now with the current fashion for wrecking the handling by fitting enormous rims and very low profile rubber. Still have some spare wire mesh for the grill under my bench.

It was Mica Blue paint, there was a small touched up scratch on the door where a “leaner in” at a car show caught it with belt buckle.

I used it for hillclimbing as well as burbling down to the pub, please excuse the embarrassing “racing driver pose” but it looked like this in Sept 2003 amd i was somewhat younger.

Pre-cat Griffiths wheels ? certainly a rare one!

tyres still look too low profile (I am compareing with other S's on standard size wheels), maybe 55 profile instead of 60 scratchchin

Much rather buy a car which has been used for a bit of hilclimbing sprinting or track days over a polishing car. It is far more likely to have had regular oil changes good brakes, good suspension bushes and regular chassis treatment.

Steve (and all) thank you for the replies.

Things such as differnet wheels always divide opinion which is finesmile

It's alwaays good to hear from previous owners good or bad!smile
