The drivers window regulator on my S1 has snapped its cable.
I thought that they were from a VW, possibly polo. I have been to the local breakers, and dismantled the doors on just about every VW (no mk1 polo's in stock) but have not yet found the right one. (even if modified)
Any ideas/spare ones around.

Audi 80? (though I would expect this to be as VW...)

S1 Winder mechanism is of a 1979-1987 Audi 80.
Part number 813837399D.

Mine also has a fault which may be cable but I have not yet been to a dealer to get a price.

I will hop along to a dealer next week and will post the price to scare the natives.
