Possibly a problem with the engine running signal. Have you tried a permanent 12v supply to the pump to see whether this cures the symptoms?

could well be an electrical fault or fuel blockage is fuel getting to the engine ok ?

as pete said run a direct 12v to the pump
also check coil and distributor

I had a problem similar to this that was the result of the main relay. Parts of the relay had broken off inside of the box and were coming into contact with the internals. It may be worth trying a new one of those. I fixed mine by removing the offending pieces of insulation that had broken off and refitting.

Just a thought

I think I have solved the problem I accidently overdosed the fuel with probably ten times the recomended dosage,I drained it down topped back up with unleaded added a small amount of addetive and away it went.Does this sound right that overdosing with addetive would coase this sort of problem
