rear window replacement - zip

Hi,i need to replace rear window in soft top as stitching rotten.anyone had a zip in/out window fitted - thoughts on advantages/disadvantages ?thanks dave

If it's tipping down with rain you'd want the window in and if it ain't raining the tops down

It may help with replacing the window every few years if you did not have to remove the hood section from the car? I know that a lot of these designs are zipped on three sides but the fourth side could be velcro or something. It may also make it easier to stow the hood, if the window was unzipped so the rear window was not bent around the stays - this is one cause of premature window replacement.
