A huge vote of thanks to all those involved in organising today's S Meet at Silverstone. You must be well chuffed with the way it turned out. I counted 65 S's but there may have been more.

Who will ever the forget the 'rumble' through the surrounding countryside or indeed the look on that WPCs face as the convoy(sorry did I say convoy) rolled past her.

A very special thanks to all the wonderful folks at Silverstone TVR who not only made us feel so welcome but looked after us and even fed us all too.

If you were unable to make it, you missed a great day AND the sound of 65 TVRs all revving up at the same time - awesome!

Great day out.

A credit to all involved in arranging and to Silverstone TVR for the support. Credit must also go to those who turned out as some of the cars were excellent.

Nice to see such a good turn out. Shame I didn't get to drive throught the countryside though. (I was the sad b****** hobbling around on crutches!!!)Only another 4 weeks until I can press a clutch pedal again.

Lookin' forward to the next one.

Must remember now to get those keys back of the wife!!!!! Where's she gone......

Fantastic, what happened to the rear of the convoy though? We were working hard to keep up.

Yes excellent day, thanks to V8Smith, Mycroft, farmeryellow et al for all the hard work, well worth it, I didn't hear one complaint. Congratulations to the winners of the best S's, some very well earned prizes. It was great to meet all the people I have only conversed with in print on this forum. Someone once said there are no such thing as strangers, only friends we haven't yet met. Well I met a lot of friends today and without exception they were all a great bunch.
Big thanks to Silverstone TVR, such fantastic hospitality, a group of really nice people. The only downer is it is now over and done with, let's hope for a rematch next year. Thanks one and all.

Paul

Thank you, thank you for all the effort that went into a smoothly run day.
70 + cars was a great response and the best way we could thank you was by all turning up.

All those Ss and no 2 the same.

Cheers

PS anyone got any pics

Just wanted to add my thanks for what was a great day. Too many names to mention separately but it was wonderful to finally get to put faces to names.

An excelling convoy up through the Hatfield tunnel and a few wrong turns made an interesting journey up. We must be the only TVR convoy that was lead for a while by a Ferrari Pies power blats past us all were fun too

Sorry not to join in with the convoy later on, but we couldn't pass up the chance to watch the GT racing, especially all those 70's classics Did Wildfire win the award for furthest travelled?

Oh, and thanks Roy for the spirited drive home

Likewise. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and meeting so many other S people and their fabulous cars. Moment of the day - definately Pies steaming past in the Hatfield tunnel - fantastic ! Grinning like idiots we were.

Special thanks also to TVR Silverstone for getting the bird and myself into the course free of charge - we almost felt like part of the crew !

See you all next year !

Saw your good lady taking action photo's of the convoy, is there any chance they will be posted somewhere? Good to meet you both, and yes, Pies going into warp drive in the Hatfield tunnel put a huge grin on our faces as well.

Cheers

managed to go 2 weeks in Mallorca without getting burnt....back for one day and my forehead is lighting up like a big red beacon!!!! That's what getting stuck on the M25 for an hour does to you. Did anyone get stuck in the M1 traffic southbound...shut it off completely...took 3 and half hours to get home to Essex!!! At least the blat was great, seeing all those Tivs in convoy was the best....a great thanks to all those involved and at least I now know where you keep the key for the glove box...thanks guys!!!!

I had a great day.... well done to everybody, the organisers, TVR Siverstone and of course to EVERBODY for turning up

I missed all the flames in the Hatfield Tunnel, as I impatiently put my foot down

And thanks to everyone who voted for my S2 (B11 OOV). As I have never met any other S's until to day I didn't know who good a condition it was in, again me being impatient buying the first one I test drove.

Cheers All...... Again sometime I hope

Ohhh the wpc's face in the village when on the blatt ...... :.priceless:

What excellent company! Thoroughly enjoyed myself, spending the day with real enthusiasts. Didn't take a single picture myself so I'm looking forward to seeing the best of the ones you all took.

And of course I'd like to add my vote of thanks to Silverstone TVR for the incredible amount of work they put in to accommodate us all and make us so welcome.
