Lusting after a ????????????? Griff OR v8s, cant decide
Discussion
Thought about this for about a year. Every time I got back behind the wheel of the S and got that stupid grin again, I put off the thought of change.
Also thought about a V8S but wanted to try a Griff first. It is a very different animal. It all depends what you are after really. Go try one and see if you get hooked? If you don't like it then you know its not for you and can get it out of your mind.
Still gutted the S had to go though!
Cheers, Stew.

I went through the same thought process when I had a V6S, but when I drove them both, for me it had to be the V8S. But depends what you are after, if it's a fun weekend car the V8S will suit best, if it's an everyday car, the Griff is probably better.
Like has been said, go drive them both and you will see what I mean, the Griff is the better car, but because of this, it loses some of the character and fun factor, as it's smoother etc.... The V8S is mor raw and hence more of a hoot for the weekend fun car.
Whichever you choose you will enjoy it...
IMHO

You have a chance at S club to go out in Grif & V8S ,Blag a ride (drive)
From personal experience whatever you chose wont stop you wanting the one you didn't pick
Still fancy a grif myself , Cerbs can be cheap and is the iconic TVR but always loved basic 350i design although t350c is the best looking tiv ever and i cant sell the tam its just too good .
Not really helping am i

Which is exactly why I was happy to sell my Chimaera (which was my everyday car) and get an S2 as a weekend toy when the daily commute changed and meant something more pratical and economical was needed
I'd have preferred a V8S to an S2 but back then the price difference between the two was far greater than it is now.If your currently sure that you want a change go and have a drive of a few and see what you think of them. Do anything that your current steed doesn't do or how much bigger the smile versus the increased cost and hassle of changing.
The main thing though is how much more will a V8s or a Griff give you or will the smile just be the same but with a V8 soundtrack. If so, stick with your current S. The sound will probably be best from the V8s or a pre cat Griff, but thats just my opinion
Have fun making your mind up by driving a few. Only you will know the final answer based on how they make you feel driving down the road.
