creaking body

Enjoyed the S meet. Lots of work to do to my underbonnet to keep up! (looks and power) On the way home (Cambridge) I was reminded how wearing my S can be, especially as the body creaks very loudly over bumps, coming from the bulkhead area. It seems to be rubbing between the body and the upper part of the gearbox tunnel chassis. If I grab the windscreen top and push it sideways I get the noise, a real loud creaking. Anybody else had this and cured it? I am sure it is not suspension.

Have a good spray around with WD40, this will also expand the rubbers between chassis and body if any have shrunk a bit with age. I wouldn't advise getting it on any hoses or other seals though.

Hi , my S3 does that too , but only when hot.
If you find a cure for it please let me know too!
