Well, got the S back from its service - was supposed to be back last week but unfortunately Dan was snowed under and it took longer than expected. Meant I had to do a N Wales driving holiday in my other fun car which was no hardship, but a little disappointing as I was looking forward to a decent shakedown.

Anyway, it has a clean bill of health, a couple of things sorted (exhaust welded, new starter motor, top ball joint) and it sounds like they did a thorough job (proper check over and even a 4 wheel alignment). They seemed impressed and said it was very well looked after and in a good state - a testament to Norman's untiring work there! biggrin

So hopefully the only thing needed is to drive it now!

Not sure if it is psychological but maybe! It was actually painfully loud before (such that I had invested in a load of disposable earplugs!) but having been out for an hour's blast just now it wasn't too bad!

I love the noise but my ears are very sensitive and I earn a living from them so I don't want to take any chances!
