Driver seat wanted
Discussion
Does anyone have an S2 driver seat in doeskin with dark blue piping that is in very good condition (no splits or rips or thin patches) that you would like to sell?
I guess a passenger side would be OK, just the lever will be on the wrong side??

Think you are asking a little too much there, is your seat stolen, broken or just in bad condition..?? If its just in bad shape its probably best to get it reconditioned, if so I can give you some pointers I did the seats in my old S2?

Well Mike, you never know!
Mine has poor support in the seat squab as the springing appears to have broken (I've not looked at possibility of repair). There are also a couple of splits in them, not too worried about splits because as you say they are easily repaired.
The other option is that I could get any old seat from an S to keep me going and send mine for a full refurb!
Just had my drivers side seat "serviced" at Wessex trimmers in Southampton. Basically, the metal 'spine' on the underside had rusted thro' and a couple of tears needed to be done.
They suggested stabilising the foam with some hessian then bolstering the 'spine' with some pirelli webbing. Then they stiched the split seams - and voila! as good as new.... all for 80 quid.
They were very keen to ensure that I feed the leather at least once a week ... which they say is important in an open car.
Hope this helps!
