24v S......are they real or imaginary???????

I've tried for a while to get info, photos, contact any thing realy about a 24v cossy S......I'm building one and could do with some info........but I've had NO info - just the odd photo but no one to contact. Been to various shows/gatherings and zilch. The odd person knows of the odd one from years ago but nothing current and no-one on pistonheads.

Try trickjohn his was a 24V Cosworth conversion but he hasn't been on here for a long time although he is still in the directory witrh a photo of an S3 on the profile, although my memory must be off as I thought his Cosworth S was silver in colour

Hi Mick.
Are you going to use the MT75 2WD box (much stronger than the type 9) if so you will need to make up a adaptor as the gearbox has a rubber coupling output to the prop shaft, I made one on my Milling machine but you can buy them for about £ 60, I don't see many issues, I know the Cossi V6 is smaller than my Lexus so if I can get the V8 in I am sure the Cossi will fit, I would try fabricate mounts so you can use the Cossi engine and gearbox mounts with the engine. I don't know how wide the MT75 gearbox is at the back but as long as it is no wider that the type 9 it should fit.
This is what I have now on the prop shaft, the guy who did the new prop let me have a flange so I could make the adaptor.

thanks for your kind offer.......however I have already put the MT75 box (hybrid 2wd obviously)in the chassis and had a prop made. the engine mounts (rallydesign) all align as the blocks are near enough identical. I'm in the middle of making the exhaust manifolds and sysytem . I have relocated the chassis to a local friendly garage and they are now helping with the build ( I am not well enough to work on the car as much as it needs).

It looks as we are about neck and neck with the chassis, Just starting the manifolds and exhausts,
Most of the chassis is complete with only the brake, fuel, and oil hose brackets to be welded on, then out for powder coating, I had the engine running last week with no manifolds and it was loud as hell, this week I have been finishing off the brakes and some of the electrical/loom, I have still a lot of things to do, the body has had some mod's and still need a bit of finishing off before paint, all the inertia need doing but all in all it keeps me out of the pub.
I have not given any thought to insurance I thought I would cross that bridge when I get to it.

You could try having a word with Mike (mickypee) who runs Mustangshire. I believe that he has one himself, if not he was planning on doing so. He is currently working on Mohetos V8s restoration, he may be able to confirm this. Mike is a top bloke but not too local for you.

Mike's mentioned this to me but I 'think' it's his plan for his own car, rather than something he's already done.....
