Gear Knob Thread Size?

Gents,

Ive been trying to work out what the thread is on my standard gear stick and type. The current knob is a tatty fake leather thing held in place by a bit of inserted rubber tube so moves around a lot...



Anybody have an idea? Its a 88 model...

Can't remember the thread size, but it's standard Ford - T9 (aka Type N) gearbox for V6
(most replacement gear knobs now use grub screws rather than the thread anyway).

Thanks.. i was going to replace it with an Aluminum one i had for the Chimeara but the diameter is too large.. most of the similar alternatives seem to come with a screw thread.. any suggestions on where i can get a simple aluminum ball knob to fit??

Yep, looked there... Goggled Ford Type 9 and its an M10 apparently with a 1.25 spaced thread...

I have a round ball "MOMO" knob, well my 1990 S has, I have tried to unscrew it when trying to get the gaiter to fit right but it would not unscrew for some reason. Photos when I get home if it helps. Brought the daily car to work too wet and windy today. ( Me That is )

MIne currently rains on the inside almost as much as outside, door to screen frame seals don't fit, holes in floor and the joints in the roof, when you brake hard water pours down back of my neck, and collects on the seat. Hilarious when out for a hoon but sitting at work in a wet patch not so good.
Power to you though, I will try to "man up a bit".

Don't they all do that?

My lot at work can't tell whether I came in the car or on my motorbike, I get almost as wet in the car as I do on the bike!

Actually, to be fair to the car, the roof is watertight, the only real leak is the window seals but it's amazing just how inopportune that can be.... and sitting in a damp patch isn't as much fun as i expected...
