Managed to source a new dizzy cap and rotor arm from Vospers in Plymouth (2.9 Scorpio) but ford wanted a £100 for a set of HT leads, that made me wince a bit, so where is the best place to order some from?

Cheers

NOT Essex, that was fitted to the earlier 3.0 Capri ( & TVR 3000M ).

TVR used the Cologne V6 2.8 & 2.9 in the S.
( Capri MkIII 2.8, Granada, Sierra 2.9 )

Wow - surprised someone has put an Essex in an S. Do you have any links/pics? Having a 3000M I'd be interested to see that.

No probs Rich, just don't want anyone ordering the wrong bits.

I've not heard of an Essex lump being fitted to an S, are they on p/hds?
Anything is possible, a Cosworth 24v and a certain Lexus V8 twin turbo spring to mind. smile

Edited to overrule fat finger/ small fone keypad.smile

One that i talked to said it gave him a more reliable engine base with which to mod and increase power apparently.. i am not experienced enough to question that but he seemed to know what he was on about.. he also talked about down drafts??? But sorry no pictures... but if i bump into him again i'll try and snaffle some...
