Hi All.
Anybody know a company called Selby TVR Sports and Classics Ltd, they are agents for a ceramic coating called ZIRCOTEC, I know nothing about this type of coating, maby someone on here has had it done, I could just wrap them but it would not look as nice.

Out of my price range but sounds like its good stuff whereas "Camcoat" seems to be a bit cheaper but gets mixed reviews....

Alan I'd post on the general tvr forum about coating manifolds, I know some have had it done.

Lovely bit of craft there.

Hi Alan,
Top work thumbup
I used Camcoat on my manifolds and Y.
Excellent job, very efficient, 2 week turnaround and fair price.
1000+ miles since and still look like new.

View my rebuild forum for pics.

Simon.

nice looking job there, trying to make out the small print on the elbows, can see schedule 10 but not the nominal bore size, but schd 10 is 6mm or 1/4" wall thickness, very heavy for a set of headers isn`t it?

There's a lot of weight out in front so I wanted some strength in the manifolds, I am also going to fab some sort of turbo support as well.
Thanks Chris for the Camcoat, will get a price comparison Monday.

Hi Alan,

Looks like a big exciting project !
What else are you planning to modify? Gearbox, driveshafts, chassis, brakes ?

I'm not sure there is much standard on Alan's car.. Iirc he has the auto box that came with engine in there not sure what spec brakes ect are in but cannot see them being overlooked wink

Love your car Alan but red manifolds blimey? That would be extreme even for me. Besides would clash with my puny rockers.

My bet is in for best v8 winner next year all DIY too which is stunning. Maybe fastest / quickest too (we should all go to York drag way some day?).

Out of curiosities what diff are you running? Have you vented the bonnet at all?

Cheers
