Remote central locking and alarm

I'm installing an aftermarket central locking and alarm kit to my S3. All pretty much done and working (with automatic window closing module which is pretty neat). One issue I've got is that the system rearms itself after 15 seconds or so after being disarmed. After much probing and testing I whittled it down to the interior light door switches. The alarm takes a feed from one of the switches and uses this to detect forced entry and also, it seems, to check that doors are opened after disarming. I guess it's a security feature that the system automatically rearms if it can't detect a door opening within a defined period after being disarmed. It appears the drivers door switch was faulty, which i fixed (dodgy connection) but now it doesn't seem to want to work at all despite both door switches working fine. Looking at the V6 wiring diagram it appears that the switches are wired in parallel, so in theory it shouldn't matter which I splice into to get the feed for the alarm. Each switch has a black wire (to earth in guess) and two pink and white wires. Does anyone have any experience of fitting an alarm to an S or know specifically how these switches are wired? Am I right in thinking they're wired in parallel? Any other thoughts?! The installation instructions are as useful as a chocolate fire guard and no troubleshooting section!

Happy to help out if i can. It's a bit fiddly and time consuming but then most jobs on the S seem to be like that! My S3 had door lock actuators fitted (either not connected or not working or both!) and the new actuators screwed directly into the mounting holes TVR had drilled 21 years ago which was a result. I had to drill a new hole in the door and body to take the wires through but that wasn't too much of a chore. Main issue is fiddling around with all the wiring and finding spots to mount everything. I opted for Velcro on the back of the carpet panel that folds down in the passenger footwell. I can recommend the window closing module, works a treat and means the windows are always tucked neatly in behind the rubber seal along the roof (provided you have elec windows). It was some no-brand Chinese effort I got off eBay. Works ok (managed to solve problem in original post by remaking connections in door switches)... But the instructions might have well been written in Chinese. Almost completely incomprehensible translation. One thing I would have done differently if doing it again would have been to invest in a system with an accessory output so I could have remote boot opening button. The button is there on the fob but no output on the alarm!!! Useless!
