Which Thermostat do you have?

Hi all,
Took my S2 out of the garage early this morning to collect a relative, the journey is 9 miles on urban roads so a mixture of traffic lights and roundabouts. The temperature gauge was only between 50 and 90 when I arrived and of course the heater air was mildly warm.
I see there are two temperature rated stats and wondered which one you prefer to have fitted.
I guess as these tend to run hot in the summer months then the stat that opens at a lower temp would be best although in winter time the opposite would be peferable!

So next weekend if I fire her up from cold and keep feeling the hoses for temperature and notice all the hoses increasing in temperature at the same time this won't necessarily mean my thermostat is stuck open!
The large hose to the top of the swirl pot will stay cold till the stat opens but you will notice that the swirl pot itself will warm up due to the water from the 5/8” bypass hose which enters the swirl pot about half way down. The bypass hose relieves the pressure from the water pump when the stat is shut. Unfortunately TVR plumbed the bypass into the swirl pot so the bypass water then goes through the rad which slows the warm up.Rob.
Fun & Facts
i fitted one of those tasty 'sports' alley rads when my original sprung a leak (following the heater matrix in traditional fashion) and since then it basically doesnt get warm (90) unless;
1. its in a foreign country where the ambient temperature is 20 or above
2. is stationary idling for 10mins before it gets going and the ambient temperature is above 5 degrees
3. i do what my dad did and unload some foil on the rad or - ingeniously insert a sponge into the grill recess on the bonnet!
Plan is to turn the bypass into (as Miranda might say); what i call a bypass, but this week i am rewiring a biodegradable mercedes loom!
I bought my stats from 'burtonpower' and another from ford, but neither had the larger c. 3mm bypass hole i wanted (cos i thought the increased flow thro it it might make the stat warm up quicker, long story)
Once warm it sits at 90-92 whatever you do to it unless 25 degree, track day, then traffic - then the fan cuts in, but its a rare event now and probably wont ever occur again until at least April.
BTW - my radiator caps are the way round I like them - pressure release and 'draw back' on the swirl pot and fixed on the header.
