Piccies and V8S spec as promised
Discussion
Specification is very interesting:
Original order from TVR included the following items:
- Team Central ex-demo car
- 250bhp specification
- Griff wheels
- Stainless steel wheelarch spats
- no V8S badge
- Twin fuel filler caps (1 tank) believed unique
Modifications:
- 4.3 BV engine with Tuscan race heads - built by TVR Power
- Plenum modified with larger trumpets
- Tuscan race quick rack (steering)
- Leda adjustable suspension
- Custom springs (rates unknown)
- Foam filled tank
- Wilwood 4-pot calipers and 300mm disks
- Tuscan paddle clutch (now Griff 500)
- Roof supports - aluminium a'la Griff/Chim
- Exhaust Manifold - Stainless steel.
- Quite a few more - I have more bills/receipts than I can count!
Still getting used to it at the moment

Peter,
Yup you would recognise it. I think Ian W built it to try and compete against your monster. A certain Dan N then owned it and sorted all the engine bits that Ian couldn't get done. The rollbar was removed by Dan as it interfered with the headrests and actually would have been lethal in a rollover.
I just consider myself the keeper of one of the most insane V8S's around

V nice, as Peter says I thought I recognised the spec but with a roll over bar, so the last post makes it clearer.
Re the quick rack, would like to see that one day but pics would still be nice. I appreciate that its TVR spec 250 but I would think that a seriously fettled 4.3 would be good for nearer 300

Peter,
Ian had problems with drivability! Ian had got a monster engine but I understand that fuelling, ignition and clutch were problems. Dan got the fuelling sorted. It now runs a Griff500 ECU and the paddle clutch was swopped out for Griff500 one.
Whilst removing the gearbox the chassis was examined and some weak points identified. Subsequently the chassis was reinforced.
I'm leaving my modifications to the interior and exterior. Exterior-wise the fibreglass is in pretty good shape; the rear has lightly touched a tyre wall and requires some treatment, the rest is just star crazes. Whilst Monza Red may be a classic colour for TVR I feel that a bright red pearlescent may be more suited. This will be a winter project.

Details from Dan were sketchy:
The chassis reinforcement was carried out by Adrian Venn (although I'm not 100%). I was informed that the reinforcements were to TVR's own specification - although I'm open minded about that - in so far as I can't believe that TVR would have been interested enough or bothered about releasing an official set of mods.
Until I get the thing on my vehicle ramp I can't see the mods that have been made. I'll take pictures when I have it in the air...
