I may add some bonnet vents too ....just for show
Harsh but fair!
No, seriously I think they look really cool.
I'm just kidding!
Honestly, I think they not only look great but I'm sure they let a lot of that heat under the S bonnet escape very well, fancy doing something similar with mine.
There isn't really anywhere for the heat to go except down and under the car but what does heat naturally want to do?

I'm brave but not that brave! Dave at Tower View did it for me. I gather it was a bit of a pain but I think he's made an excellent job of it. It makes a huge difference to the cooling, underbonnet temperatures when stationary have dropped by over 40 C and you can see twin plumes of hot air when its idling on a hot day. It's also interesting to see how much air is extracted at speed, and it was spooky to see wool tufts sticking straight up into the air flow when cruising down the motorway! I haven't measured how much difference this has made to the front end lift but it has got to help. The reaction from other people has generally been very positive although I guess some of the purists still shudder to see what I've done. But the main reason behind it was to aid cooling, and from that point of view it has been extremely effective.
