Had an email from organisers, they are hoping to park cars roughly in age order so we should all end up pretty close together or we could meet up outside Stratford and arrive "en convoy"

I've also booked for both days - Looks like it will be this and S Club if we get something organised for August, as the Alps trip will be too much of a stretch for me this year.

A thought just struck me.....Ouch !
Those of us that make it to this event will have the Hill Run Route Guide, hopefully to keep, so on another date, with a few tweaks, to accomodate any other landmarks or place of interest we fancy and arrange a brunch for everyone at a roadside food emporium ( like the Touchdown Cafe, or Broadway Tower) we could manage our own " S "trip .
Could be worth a thought, plus anyone who was interested in the Festival but couldn't make those dates, get a chance.

I have booked for both days.

Worth looking at the routes for future events, as Mike says.

This is all music to my ears, but does anyone fancy a nice camping w/end & run out in the Derbyshire Dales around the end of May, either 18/19th, or 25/26/27 Spring Bank Hol.( Spa Classic Substitute Weekend for those that couldn't make it this time. )
No need to prior book, but an idea of preferred dates & number of attendees would be nice, then I could arrange something with Barn Farm, Birchover.
It seemed to go well last year, except for those thieving peacocks. ( ask Ragtop! )

Thanks to Tom ( TJC46 ) for suggesting it last year as a SCH alternative. It was perportedly the wettest weekend of the year, but we all had a marvellous time, a a lot of it topless, and the Essington Ale is not to be missed. Hope they don't run out this year. Plenty of other brews to choose though!

Feedback please.....
Phillpot, feel free to demonstrate your hyperlink expertise.....smile

If this gets the interest of 5 or more Peeps, I might even start a new topic heading on the subject........

Thanks for the post.

Sounds like it could be a good weekend, I am planning on booking along with my Brother and his son, in their S.

Has anyone looked into a Campsite yet?

Hi Glen

I am going to the Spa Classic, so can't make the later date, and possibly could make the earlier dates.

The campsite we stayed at, on the unofficial S club was ideal, good roads and a pub, the only problem was, the pub was nearer on the way to it, than on the way back, strange that.

Could this be one of them? Turned up its nose (beak) at our cheapo burgers and went in search of Mrs Tinks' haute cuisine instead!

Not yet, but planning to. Will certainly be camping somewhere nearby on Sat and Sun night. Looking for somewhere with decent facilities within walking distance of a tavern... All suggestions welcome, and if I come up with something promising first, I'll post.

Just a thought about campsites, there is a pub called "The Cottage of Content" at a village called Barton, near Welford on Avon that has a small campsite behind it. This is only 6 miles or so from Stratford town centre, off the Evesham Road. It appears to get reasonable reviews for the site and good reviews for the food/pub, so may be worth a look if anyone is interested. 35 pitches, tents welcome, may need to book though as only a few days after Shakespeare's Birthday Bash (which is held on the nearest weekend to 23rd April). Note though it is near the river Avon !!
