Thanks guys already email the French cc but no reply can probably sense I'm not a native! Yeah Iv seen S's in frame on French plates but need a copy of there carte Gris as AXA don't have the CV info on there system once they have it they will happily insure a car on English plates with a French address
According to this (http://www.automobile-sportive.com/guide/tvr/s.php) it's either a 13CV with a 2.8 engine or a 14CV with a 2.9.
From experience, you might have some explaining to do if you get randomly stopped by the police and show insurance paperwork with a french address and a car on british plates...

If you are lucky enough to have a car which is sufficiently similar to the French ones to get a French national type approval certificate from the DREAL then you are well away, otherwise your other options are to keep it on UK plates until it reaches 30 years old or else do the French equivalent of IVA (in which case brace yourself...)
