Hi guys, ive been lurking for a while now, and ive decided to get an S2, I just love the dash, its stunning! I will be making my way to Newport (in a silver Mondeo estate) for the South Wales meet on the 30th if anybody is from Wales on here!

I think I will be hiring the services of Rob Ingleby to find me an S2, ive only heard good things about him on here!

Anyway, I want as much information as possible as I will be doing all the servicing and repairs myself, so im after 'The TVR S series 2nd edition' by Steve Heath. Any of you guys that want rid of the book, just let me know!

Also, should i get any other book? is the Haynes manual for the Sierra V6 useful, or a waste of money?

You would probably be better off giving the TVRCC a ring and ordering a new book from them. They do come up occasionally 2nd hand but usually go for almost the same money (£25 vs £30). 1st edition would go for less and seemed to me to contain just as much useful info(not sure why its half as thick???).

The Sierra manual is useful if you are going to service it yourself as it covers things on the engine like tappet adjustment but I didn't use mine much. I still have it if your interested for a few quid plus postage.

Edited to add: you could always try ebay and pay even more than the new price.....

The TVRCC will also make a bit of profit too, as they do from all sales of Leven etc. stuff without marking it up for the buyer.

Important for the post-Le Mans champagne

Good luck in your Ferrari sales

There are always a few S2 and 3s for sale any time of the year, so you'll not be found wanting - but may have to travel a bit to find the one you fall for. Just depends where you live.

Hello Steven, welcome to the PH and the S club!

I know what you mean about the dash, fell in love with mine as soon as I saw it, if you click on my name to see my profile you'll see a photo of my S2 interior.

Good luck in your search and don't forget if there's anything you need to know, here is a good place to ask!

Cheers,
K

Thanks for the welcome Kentish!

Regarding the book in TVRCC, i think the book advertised is a first edition, is there much difference between the first edition and the second edition?

Thanks

Steve
