Hard indicator light

Unfortunately my S has had to be stored for a while due to a house extension and a nice shiny garage! Whilst in storage the fuse box got wet which caused a couple of issues that I have now resolved. The only thing that seems a bit strange is that the hazard indicator switch is constantly illuminated when the ignition is off. When you switch the ignition on it goes out. The indicators and hazard lights all work correctly.
Can anyone remind me if this light is normally on all the time and if not does anyone have any ideas....looking at the wiring diagram I can only suspect there is some sort of short inside the switch unit....there does not seem to be too much else to it?

It's most unlikely it should be on all the time. Probably a faulty earth or a short.
