S2 Door Mirror Glass?
Discussion
I seem to remember that the door mirror glass on the S2 bendy mirror comes from the Citroen CX. Does anyone here know which one it is exactly? only I need to find one as mine is broken. If all else fails I'll have to have one cut, but it would be good if I could get the right one.

Yes, mine are the 'bunny ears'. I don't thing that the BX or the CX are the right ones, now I've come to examine them. Unless someone comes up with a solution as to which car they are from, I'll just have to have one cut. I did once have one cut for a Wedge and they did a pretty good job of it, and it was convex too.

Summit produce a comprehensive range of self-adhesive replacement mirrors,
Available at Halfords, motor factors and car accessory shops.
I'm sure if you take along a paper template, they can identify it from the catalogue & supply you with the one you need.

got to be cheaper ( didn't you mention somewhere you're selling the car? keep costs down= profit up
)There's a Motor Factors near where I work, CarSpares, they have a large range of replacement mirrors on display, any decent MF should have a selection even if not on show?
Guess it would help if someone knew the source of those mirrors. Have I forgotten or, thinking about it, did I ever know ????
With all due respect gentlemen, the last time I walked into Halfrauds with a broken mirror in my hand, asking for a mirror for a Wedge, a stupid looking blonde girl behind the counter looked at me as though I'd come from another planet. Maybe she misunderstood the word 'Wedge' but she made it quite clear that if its not in their system it doesn't exist. I think, if I remember correctly, that was the day I learned, that in Halfrauds, what you see is what you get.
Yes, I will be selling the S2 once all the work is completed as I only bought it as a rolling restoration, but I am not cutting any corners. On Tuesday it will be going in for a complete clean and waxoil of the chassis , and on Thursday its booked in to have a new rear screen fitted. there are a number of other small jobs that need doing to bring up to a very good standard. Then and only then will it go up for sale. If no one buys it, I will keep using it as I love these cars. If it sells, my sights are set for things that have a lot of power.
With the mirror issue. If I can't source an original, I'll just have to have one cut.

Who mentioned Halfords? a decent Motor Factors was suggested !!!
They are (imo) in the business of selling fast moving parts for modern cars and are the last place I'd go looking for parts for a low volume production car well over 20 years old.
and to be fair can you really expect a girl, probably younger than the car, to know what a "Wedge" is ?
