Took a mate for a blat this morning, he hasn't been in the S before, and I caught him off guard when I put the pedal to the floor at a set of lights.

It was funny, as he owned a few FTO's, thought they were the dogs danglies, never stopped harping on about how fast they were etc...

Anyway, we took off from the lights in first and he bricked it, said "Rob" 5 times in 2 seconds, each time a pitch higher etc, trying to find something to grab onto - it really was quite funny.

(I actually do have a point, amazingly, which is):

Does everyone else also get rather accustomed to the scary factor, when putting the pedal to the mat, to the point that you forget how fast the S car really is (interesting to hear V6 and V8 owners comments)

Its plenty fast enough for me, but its only when Im taking new passengers for rides that I remember fully how scary it was when I first got it.

If you want to know the meaning of scary, get one of your mates to take you out in your S

Never again.

Not on your nellie!

How often does everyone play scarypedal?

I was too scared to do it at first, as time passed more and more, and now less, its only ever 3-4 outings that I actually put my foot down in first on a clear stretch.

I've been out in a number of Cerbera's this year so got accustomed to quick and got complacent with the bloody quick sensation of the S.

However we did a Ride Drive day at Enstone, and during the trip down through the Cotwold twisties I didn't hold back and all, and my co-pilot (a Griff 500 owner) was amazed at the speed with which we could take corners.

The S may lose out on acceleration and top-end to the bigger, V8 and S6 TVRs but on the corners its in a class of its own, as a certain cocky 4.5 Cerbera owner in our party doesn't like to remember

When we were over in France recently - the missus had a go in the S (open roads - no traffic etc.)

That was scary!

once took a 6'7" mate out, he said that the most scary bit was dodging the bees coming at him a warp speed. No I come to think of it, he did look a bit like a tank driver - now that mustave been scary!!
