Anyone got a spare roof clip!

Hi all, has anyone got a spare plastic roof clip for a poor unfortunate S owner (me) I could barter,buy,have? I bought some metal replacements recently but the hole pattern is upside down an i cant be bothered to attempt to re bore the holes in the right places

Can you post a picture of your metal clips, I currently don't have any at all ! Also can't seem to find any decent pictures of the roof clips actually fitted.

When you buy the clips I don't think you get the little bit screwed to the screen frame they clip onto or the wedge under the clip that aligns it better.

Ooh shiny, don't know why I don't have those fitted ? Roof stays on though so maybe I don't need them, if you don't get the catch there's not much point in me getting a pair

perhaps you do with the black one, if not it must be available (no good without it)?

Think there are a couple of ideas on why they were fitted, possibly body could flex enough (big pot hole or crash) to let panels pop out or roof stays could undo, again allowing roof panels to fly out if driving at the time?

I see that RS has them on back order, so you might have to wait a while for delivery. I need a couple as well, so thanks for the link. My friend lost his single roof panel from his 350i on the motorway, so the panels on the S might do the same if not clipped at the top of the screen.

I might have a spare set in the garage, will check later, they came with the car when I bought it as the owner had fitted metal ones and the original plastic ones were in a bag in the boot. So to the OP (Rob) if you are interested then let me know by pm and they will be yours. (assuming I can find them).

Ok then, just been and checked through all my crap in the garage and I have got spare the old std plastic roof clips, bizzarely one is broken so its yours if you want it gratis, buckshee etc, just let me know where to post it to.
