Throttle cable
Discussion
The throttle cable on my S3 is stretched and the nylon adjuster has snapped, all of which probably explains a certain take up lag!
I've seen plenty of information on the forum about replacing the inner cable - can anyone confirm what the source is for the outer cable. I've got as far as it is a Ford part (no longer available), but is it Scorpio, Granada or Sierra and will any one fit or do I need one for a specific model?

Granada 2.9i manual RHD if I remember correctly, rare as hens teeth.
Ford now obsolete, as you say, and I couldn't find a replacement from any "after market" manufacturers...... so I came up with this using a Capri / Cortina cable (still readily available)

Maybe you can cobble something up with the adjuster off another Ford cable ?? Good luck.
