S2 Spares or Repair
Discussion
I have a 1989 G reg S2 which I wish to sell. All there, no history, 68,000 on clock, new trailing arms, new full stainless exhaust, turns over but won't start, faded paint, outriggers rusty but appear solid, requires full restoration. I don't know if it is viable to restore this car in today's market, but it seems a shame to break what I believe to be a decent car for spares. Advise please.
Whether or not it's a viable repair could depend quite a lot on how much you want for it!
I can't imagine breaking it would raise a huge amount? Not a huge demand for body tubs, doors, bootlids, old chassis, etc. etc. even engines, gearbox's, and diffs are pretty tough and not particularly valuable

Dont break it!

When I bought mine I was looking for a retirement project and I specifically looked for a TVR to bring back to life. I paid a little less but about 7 years ago, mine had a very sound original chassis (it had been treated when new) but it was a tatty non runner.
Yours would have suited me perfectly, hopefully there will be at least one other masochist/TVR enthusiast out there looking for a project.
Good luck
