Help bonnet won't open

The catch on the drivers side bonnet is jammed shut, any clues anyone please. Have tried pushing, pulling banging on it, swearing and cursing to no avail.

Jack up the o/s/f corner. If that doesn't work try jacking the other corner.

Try undoing one or both of the bonnet hinges from underneath and wiggling (being careful to support the weight of the bonnet!).

My car needs some help every time - I pull the release and gently pull the back edge of the bonnet towards the front of the car.

Hi there, it was the catch on the passenger side that would'nt release for me. I just closed the bonnet, pressed down on it a few times, released it again and hey presto it opened normaly!

on mine, very occasionally it sticks and a nudge left or right frees it up
