First week of S ownership.
Discussion
Now had my S a week, been tweaking and fiddling (with the car...) when I get a chance, still think its great!
So far I have adjusted the bonnet fit and catches so that I can get further than 100yds without it popping open, fitted a CD head unit, replaced the n/s/f indicator wiring, swapped the side repeaters and rear light clusters for smoked units (thought they may look chavvy but now they are on i think they look nice on a black car), cleaned out the blocked boot drain tubes, fitted MX5 mirrors, given the hood a waterproofing with Renovo waterproofer and generally given it a good clean up.
I have also removed a rather odd looking 'fuel cooler' setup which had return fuel running through a large 13 row oil cooler mounted behind the radiator...
Next is to sort out a full service and replace the weeping radiator with a nice new Radtec ally one which is on order... Twin sucker fans will be going on too. Got some smoked front indicator lenses to go on as well. Interior wise I've got some leather renovator to sort the seats. Oh, and some new CV joints to sort the hefty rear end clonk. Should keep me busy during the evenings!
Been using the car every day which has been great (and cheaper than the Range Rover...) and hope to run it backwards and forwards to Goodwood for FOS next week too.
Cheers
Gregg
