TVR S2 Cooling Fan - Original New One Ordered!

I have tracked this down to Australia! and the following company have a web ordering facility and I have just ordered an exact match for OE!

then search for a DC31, I needed the 105 version without the wiring kit £115 quidish

Looks great! thinking of doing the same to mine, however an engineer friend has advised me to tread carefully so not to void the insurance! - should an accident occurr, then the full load is then placed on the horizontal thread? Is the thread up to it and has it been load tested?

Another thought, as its a key part to safety, has your insurance company approved it?

I would be interested in how you got on?

It's an echo we have heard before. I understand this path has already been trodden. I'll decide if I like it first, then givem a call. Thanks for the concern but I have a view that we didn't build Concorde or win wars worrying about these types of issues.

I looked at having some made locally soon after I first bought Gerald but was advised NOT to fit them (untested) and definitely NOT supply them to others due to the possibility of court action if they were to fail. I fact the only local company who could make them would not have accepted an order as they thought they too could be liable.

I can understand a small engineering company not wanting to take the risk but it is just a simple component like all the others connecting the seat belts to the car.

Just wondering if there were enough takers whether it would be worth approaching one of the seat belts manufacturers to see if they'd be prepared to supply?
