Fitted Mats

Anyone know where I can get some fitted rubber mats for my S2??

Never seen fitted rubber ones... best bet is to try your local autofactors / Hell-frauds and cut to fit...

Did consider cutting some cheap ones, but would rather find fitted if I can. What other types are available for the S?

All I've ever seen are the carpet ones...

Look up Autostyle mats, as I'm pretty sure they hold the pattern so you should be able to get something made.

It's listed as V8S, I've ordered a set (for my S2) and will let you know how well they fit. However I noticed after my order that it can take up to 2 weeks for delivery !!!

£57 for mats with carpet heel guard on drivers side and TVR motif.

Will let you know what they are like, and supply Photos

I got some carpet off cuts to use during the winter/wet weather for I am an all year round S driver. Anyhow, I spoke to a trimmer who said that he would charge me £30 for some fitted over mats with extra heel bit, or I could buy an alloy plate and rivet it on after.

Like Shmern I am looking at getting the fitted set for summer, but, like Wildfire, I'm an everyday driver, so in winter I use the rectangular rubber car mats usually destined for the rear footwells on euroboxes. They usually fit straight in and cover the bits that matter. Aldi are doing a set of 4 rubber car mats for about £5 at the moment, they are surprisingly good quality and the underside has very good grips.

If you're not too fussed about appearances (i.e. lack of TVR logo etc.) then I'd recommend the cheapie black rubber mats from Halfords.

Because they're quite thin they're very flexible which means they fit the contours of the footwell nicely, but they're still quite hardwearing. I found that the more expensive generic ones were too thick and not flexible enough to sit in the narrow footwell properly.

I used one for about two years in my driver's footwell and never had any problems with it, and for that sort of price it's probably worth buying one and seeing how you get on with it.

I bought a set from TVR gear three years ago - they fit well and still look OK. There web site is down for rebuild at the mo so try 01664 481065. They were not desperatly cheap but they are of good quality and I too drive it each and every day what ever the weather.

And me! Been a bit of a struggle with the time it has taken for a garage to sort stuff that took far longer than it ought to have done, but she's back home now..
