coolant capacity

Can anyone please confirm the coolant capacity of a 2.9 V6, fitted in an S3 with swirl pot and ali rad. The haynes book for the engine says 8.5L, www.tvrsseries.com says 10.2L.

“The Book” also says 5lts of oil in a V8 but it’s nearer 6lts. Keep filling the system until it’s full and all the air is out. If you put too much in it will vent off. If you put too little in…… well you don’t want that.

Mine sits about half way up expansion tank.

I guess capacity important for mixing anti freeze I would mix up more than I need and keep the leftover for later

When I refilled mine, it took about 10.5 litres.

If you have your caps the wrong way round you will need a time or distance dimension to this question
