I would go for this but it is pick up only and also I've just bought a FCR that displays the codes from Amazon. But could be worth getting to supplement the one held by Phillpot. This one is the full ish and the later version including the ABS section et al which whilst useless for our cars is needed for the Grannys and Sierras.

BTW it was listed with a reserve first time round and got no bids so got relisted without the reserve

I see that this is a 3 digit tester, arn't most S series fitted with the Ford EEC 1V ecu which I have found only gives a 2 digit code. Am I right about this?

Don't know if it is any use for an S, but if it is of any help to potential purchasers I could collect it as I am quite close to Chorley. Can deliver to SCH.

As there were no other bidders I took a punt and bought this at the starting price. Haven't tried it yet so if anyone knows anything that would help I'd love to have it.

2 digit and 3 digit output are read by the same tester - look at fourth picture as you can select between them.

As always - fantastic help from the forum.

Complete with instructions I've tested the unit and worked like a charm, so available if needed to supplement Philpott's.

Looks like its gone.

On the subject of EEC IV's I picked up a breakout box for the EEC whilst in the States last year.

One of these....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OTC-3225-EEC-IV-Engine-C...

Very good for monitoring voltages / signals etc whilst on the move (with help obviously)

If anyone wants a loan (for the price of the postage) just drop me a line.

Cheers

D.

You're a good man Ray, carrying on from where Chrischat left off .
You have proven yourself well qualified to carry the mantle bow

Did you drive down from Durham to collect it, or did you rely on Jakko as part of the team?

See you at SCH 2013 @ Thoresby?
Mid day is looking interesting.............?
