'S' aerial demounting

Anyone know how to get an original Zendar "fixed" aerial out ? I'm planning a winter layup for the car before long with a dustcover over, and short of just removing the whole aerial assembly from the rear wing, would appreciate any tips before I unscrew/unplug/dig/gouge at the protruding part of the aerial. Thanks.
