S3 Heater control cables

The direction (screen or feet) lever on my heater controls has gone loose - I suspect the cable has come adrift or snapped. Are the ends of the cable accessible by taking the glovebox out or similar? If its a full dash out job, I'll leave it for now, so handy to know how big a job its likely to be.

I think it is more than likely going to be a full dash out job !

That control doesn't do a lot even when connected, see this old post for example.
