Went to see how bodyshop getting on with respray (slowly) and finally pulled out eyeball vent on driver side to side why it won't open/shut. There must be some sort of rubber bit inside that acts a seal & stops the whole thing from spinning uselessly that has vanished.Anybody got any ideas what the origin of the vent is & where to get a replacement? Thanks

You might want to try Car Builder Solutions. They do a fair range of standard car bits for Kit Cars, etc including fascia vents. Don't know if they are a direct replacement but there are some on this web page,

Sorry I can't do links so you'll have to copy & paste into your browser.

The "resistance" is created by a felt ring (maybe yours has come out some how), the two halves that form the outer casing are glued together but if you're tight (like me) they can be cut open, repaired, glued back together.

Yes, useful for so many bits that you just don't know where to buy them. Worth a bookmark in your browser.

Here's another one you might like to browse.
