Hi chaps, just a quick question, I cannot stand the old Ford Granada / Sierra gearstick any longer, it's almost disturbing! Anyone know if it's a simple screw fit and can be replaced by the millions that are available everywhere from Halfords to Demon Tweeks, or is it something more complicated? Same goes for the handbrake handle too... thanks!

Momo from Halfords all seem to fit with the grub screws described. They do a gearshift gater and handbrake cover that look like should fit also.

Yep - old one simply unscrews and then pick a nice shiney one to replace it. I picked a Ripspeed one up at halfwits held on by 3 grub screws.

Gear Knob thread on my S3 is M10....Standard pitch.

Most nowadays have a Plastic inner whish has collapsable veins to bite into the thread, then an outer metal or plastis KNOB secures to the inner by Grub Screws.

Is there a way to fit the Leven -gearknob (which matches the handbrake lever) on the S gearbox ? I heard it only fits the Rover gearbox.

Cheers
