Hi All

Having a bit of clear out now that I no longer have the S, I know its been a while, its difficult to let go smile

I taking a few bits to the powder coaters in the next couple of daye, I thought whilst I was there I would get the spare pair of rocker covers for the S powder coated before I put them on ebay.

Does anyone know the original colour of them?

Cheers

Liam

Hi Liam
Mine on the S1 were grey. The ones on my S3c are silver I believe soon to be changed for ally ones..

Hi Liam,
If it's the pressed steel rocker covers, they were originally a rather boring plain grey.
I've just fitted a set that I had powder coated in silver.
They look so much nicer IMHO.

Agree with Glen - done the same - silver. IMHO Chrome looks too bling although I did consider it when getting mine done

Shadow chrome might look quite cool.

I’m thinking of having my coli springs powder coated. Silver or black (over red dampers)?

Ahh! Apologies Mark, I fear you will see 'her' rocker covers as a trifle 'bling'! 'She' didnt like her old grey tops so I picked 'her' up a pair of chrome ones at the right price some months ago. She is happier, although they do rather show up other parts of the engine bay. I have also modified the alternator mounting so I can get the offside cover off much more easily and so it clears the cover completely.
