new suspension and car too high

I've fitted 450 F and 375 R springs and bilsteins (measured the same unsprung length as the old Spax I removed), loaded with 300kg of balast to simulate the rest of the body, fuel and person - the ride height is still FAR too high at 240mm. How did others get down to 180F/190R ?? were shorter dampers used? I have thought about winding the spring seat down but can't get it low enough and I think loose too much damper travel.

Just adding weight won't give you a true ride height, If I jack my car up then lower it (even if the trolley jack is lowered very quickly) the car sits far higher than the height it settles to after a short drive.

Wind the adjustable spring seats down, that's why they're adjustable

+1 and often more than the 60mm you are talking about

Thanks for that - hadn't realised it could settle THAT much....make one wonder how much suspension travel is left!!
