S3c mirrors

Good morning to you all could anyone help me on what door mirrors I could replace mine with or what mirrors did TVR use on the s3c

S3c used the old Citroen CX mirrors that were used on anything from the Citroen to the McLaren F1.

Common replacements are the Mk.1 MX-5 manual mirrors, and the electric mirrors off a London Taxi (although I have those on mine and there isn't enough adjustment in them for me to be able to see in them without ducking down)

Graham, you can get the CX mirrors, but they ain't cheap. Manual adjustables around £70 - electric items up to £150 quid a pop (more sometimes). Often pop up on ebay, but can be had from CX specialists

..On the same subject how about the rubber bands on the mirrors ?

I got directed to some non-OEM Examples on ebay a couple of years ago - after about 6 months they began to perish. The first two or three snapped and leapt to their deaths on the motorway whilst the rest succumbed naturally in the garage and I found them curled up on the floor, dead. Any ideas ??

Try Polymax, I bought the Viton ones when I had a Chimaera, few pence more but may be more resiliant to sunshine/weathering?

While ago now, can't find any notes on which size I bought.
