if I didn`t have the Taimar to restore I`d be off with a trailer to pick this little number up, surely a bargain for somebody?

I hope he doesn't take more than one deposit then .....(paid mine today to secure car) - seriously though he sounds like a really nice chap who knows his stuff... oh and who needs a trailer...

good luck with it mate, and at that price if the chassis is suspect you can afford to repair it.

Very good luck with it. The spec looks very interesting, and if the work has been done intelligently then you will have a car you can improve and one you can enjoy and be proud of. Please let the forum know how you get on and post some good pics of the mods as they will be of interest to others.

The chassis is good and maybe I did advertise it too cheap....I certainly have paid the price for not getting myself organised enough to get the MOT sorted, but then I knew that. It is a hard one to call as to what the car is worth.....still I got more or less what I thought I might get for it, so I am not unhappy....and life is too short to regret!

Hi Mark

did you get my mail asking for some engine bay photos?

I'm about to do the water pipes and photos will help enormously. I did notice that you have a 'normal' header tank where the S usually has the swirl pot. I presume you had no hot running issues?

Hi Mick,

Yes I did and I sent you some photo`s via e-mail, although it occurred to me they were the same as in the advert...but maybe a little clearer. I will have the car for another week or so can take some more photo`s.

I did have lots of heating issues...nothing serious but a constant niggle, so I ended up fitting an aluminium radiator from a transit (inexpensive, big, and light). With hindsight many of the problems were due to the radiator being old and partially blocked! I fitted the header tank because the swirl pot did not work properly (I cannot remember the details now but I thought the design was wrong?) and I had a spare Sierra header tank which was a straightforward fitment. I made some temporary mounting brackets 7 years ago, but they are still there working fine!

Regards

Mark

What a great car thanks Mark.

That engine is seriously addicitive and has got to be the best sounding V6 I have ever heard - drove 230m (top down of course) on Saturday - only problem being occasional wheelspin in 2nd and 3rd when pressing on ...

thanks, Paul.

You need to sit my Evora S if you want to hear the best V6...sounds (nearly) like an F1 car, especially blatting through tunnels!
