Hi All
Just got the bonnet back on, hinged from the lower front on rose joints, just need to adjust the fitting but all in all another job done.
Next finish off the wheel arches and down to the body shop for them to do the final shaping

A few bits on the bonnet to do before I can mould off it so will be doing that over the winter

Just put this on to show how open the bonnet is with the hinge point at the bottom, clearance to the floor is 100mm.

Hi All
The mount was done as I could not get the pipes inro the intercooler due to the wood blocling off any access.
The mounts are made out of a piece off steel 100 X 100 X 10mm, I milled out a 16mm slot for the rose joint bolt and 2 X 10mm slots for the chassis mounting, I had to weld a extension out from the main chassis in 40mm box section. The bonnet had 2 40 X 10 strips fiber glassed in so I could support the entire weight of the bonnet. I jacked up the bonnet front so I could twck weld the rose joint mount to the 40 X 10 strip then fully welded it and glassed it all in place.
The slots allow the bonnet to move up & down, in & out and left to right

Curious why you can't just paint rather than take mould and make again. Is it a weight and strength issue withe that one or are you just after a nice lightweight single piece? I wanted to mod mine a little but don't think am up to making a set of moulds
