So pleased my welding was up to scratch, clean pass although my knob came off in my hand on the way home, my fault for buying a cheap EBay one that has a nylon insert.
Please advise on a decent replacement gear knob for the S2.

Time to give some deep thought over the weekend regarding selling her!

You might want to edit that !

Good news on the MOT, always a relief especially this time of year when it'a a bit chilly for doing repairs.

Great stuff Paul!
How could you bear to part with her now?
Even if you need a new knob after all the excitement wink

Thanks.
Any ideas on a decent fitting gear knob? My previous one had a nylon insert which took on the shape of the thread from the gear stick, total rubbish

Smart phones these days are so clever they can predict your subconscious thoughts and turn them into text messages when you're not even looking. biggrin

Edit: Who is this Jane anyway?
If this was The Lounge, they'd be demanding photos by now wink

Sorry Paul, I can't offer any useful advice on replacement knobs, mine is still original & in fine condition.
Not used a lot these days though. frown ( Due to the 'orrible weather we've been having of course! )

Any experts on knobs on here ?

Edit: I'm not mad keen on double entendres,
but I do like to slip one in now & again. wink
