Thats noticed certain parts prices being hoisted hugely of late? Late S3/4 V8 CX mirrors appear to have gone beserk. Even one of the main parts suppliers has recently pushed theirs up from £195 to £228 + Vat (without the mirror which is £50!!)

Perhap's it's the time of the year when a lot of S's get garaged for restoration and titivation, that the part's prices go up?

Aren't those mirrors common to a few other "exotics" (e.g. Aston Martin)? That won't help!

Yes, add Lotus Esprit, Venturi, McLaren F1 and Jaguar XJ220 too. You can see the type of company the S keeps.

Just out of interest, does anybody know the source of the "bunny ear" mirrors fitted to the S1?
Was it Citroën AX?

In my opinion, those 'bunny ear' mirrors were the only bad line on an early S.

I think bunnys look ok but they just don't work too much movement IMHO and the pasenger one needs to be at a stupid angle to be of any use which really spoils the look.

I have to say that I think they look good on there...just not really practical...I have more of a view by slightly looking left or right with me eye balls!

Totally agree. And it would inevitably flop. It looks a lot like a Peugeot wing mirror from 205
