S2 fresh air ducting

Before I decided to get rid of 'em coz they don't do a lot I used Vacuum cleaner hose and the end cuffs are a perfect fit onto the funnel things in the front of the bonnet.

Didn't pay that sort of money, I "found" some

N.B. Vacuum cleaner hose isn't very heat resistant, keep away from manifolds or wrap with that silver foil stuff (like stuck to the sides of the engine bay)

I agree you should ditch it, it's much neater under the bonnet without it, and as they say doesn't a lot anyway. If you still feel you want to replace it there is plenty on Ebay (at a price).

I never had them till recently but have now fitted one to the passenger side to get some fresh air to the heater intake. Mines an S3 with the pipe through the bulkhead so I managed to run the duct under and behind the manifold strapped to the top tube of the chassis. Then goes under the AFMs and round the rad to front. I have the roof on a lot as use the car everyday and that bit of fresh air makes a big difference to the demisting. I used the twinwall silicone for the higher temperature tolerance as it's quite close to the manifold.

A bit of foam wrapped around the end of the hoover pipe and held in place with double sided tape also works well as a “cuff” and a lot cheaper.

Or alternatively stainless and exhaust flex pipe. That won't melt
