KentishS2 has and says it is. Unfortunately if you have the same type as me it will cost you £40 more.

C14PPY also had one fitted, for *well under* £100 IIRC(forget just how cheap).

£60 if you have the vertical bolt type and £100 for horizontal.

Makes the car much more smooth to drive rather than fast but you really do feel the difference and for very little money.

Search on here for 'Power Boost Valve' quite a lengthy one (I started it)
There are 2 types of valve to look out for though - depends on what fuel rail you've got (TVR parts bin enters stage right)

More than happy to recommend one tho - much sharper response and far smoother generally. Can guzzle the fuel tho if you crank them open too much

Not so sure about that, my spare engine has a different type to the S. Seems that most seem to be vertical bolt.

DEFINATELY two types - and if you get the wrong one could be VERY dangerous if ignored.
Check out the thread.

Andy007 and my car both share the same 2.9 engine but have very differing rails.

If you are one of the 2.8 select few you have the cheapest option as the power boost valve is only for electronic fuel injection and can't be appreciated by the mechanical injection of the S1.
Thats one christmas present I promised myself I wont be getting

It is a direct replacement for the standard fuel pressure regulator, it gives a much higher pressure delivery of fuel to the injectors and it can also be adjusted to increase or decrease the pressure accordingly. The results are a car with much smoother throttle response making standing starts brisker and overtaking is quicker too, generally the car will be far more responsive and smooth to drive.

Only increases pressure on acceleration. Don't the V8's come with one already?

horizontal or vertical refers to the mounting bolts and not the positioning of the valve, in fact the valve sits the opposite way to the bolts.

Vertical bolts = horizontally opposed valve and visa versa.

The most common fuel rail is the vertical bolt type (ie. you see the heads from above).

Just for info.

The first photo on the first page shows the valve that is described as a "horizontal bolt" type (with valve in the vertical plane).

Hope that helps?
