Had to remove sump to fit new crank seal but didn't want to end up welding to recently powder coated chassis rail ,came up with this solution

Took a minute or two to make out what you've done there smile

rather than cut out crossmember completely looks like you've left an inch or two either side and welded a flange to that?

Neat job thumbup
