Hi Joe, my fuse board is "Square D", replacement MCB's are a ridiculous price so got a couple off Ebay.

There are lots of guys selling on there, probably either got "left overs" from jobs or second hand ones from boards they've replaced.

30A scratchchin putting a ring main in the garage ?

Worst I've come across so far is £28 for "as new". Best is around £7.00 but difficult to know whether it would be better than the one I have which keeps tripping out. A bit like Glen on Ovomotine laugh

There's no earth leak on the circuit but if I wiggle the little switch on the CB the whole board goes down. I think I might know what screwed up the existing one (jester) but I'll save that tale for the Euro Trip. Talking of which.................................

biggrin
I've had a rummage through my bits ( ooh-err missus ! ) to no avail I'm afraid Joe. My spate MCB's are MEM or Wylex, & I don't have those in 30a ( or the more common 32a ).
Hopefully some bright spark wink will come up with one.

Take care & don't forget your rubber boots & marigolds hehegetmecoat

Thanks. I'll take it out tomorrow in daylight when I can switch everything off. In the meantime, here's a picture of the front of the box if that helps.

The dodgy one is the 5th from the left.

With the age of that board I think I'd be putting my tenner towards something like this. wink (no offence to Mr Jackson).

Maybe offer yours to the Science Museum smile

It will have to be upgraded at some time but until I get some regular income I'll have to make do and mend and save my pennies for the Euro Tour. wink
